Bike Shawnee is a free informational website dedicated to showing visitors where you can legally conduct bicycling activities in and around the Shawnee National Forest and southern Illinois. Most of the bicycling opportunities in and around the Shawnee National Forest and southern Illinois is hard to find and the creation of this website was to solve that problem. This is meant to be an all-in-one resource website. This website is a free service provided by, Hiking with Shawn, the local authority for hiking, biking and outdoor recreation content in the Shawnee National Forest and southern Illinois.
About Shawn Gossman
Shawn Gossman is the creator of Bike Shawnee and Hiking with Shawn. Shawn is an avid cyclist and enjoy road biking, gravel biking, mountain biking and rail-trail biking. His girlfriend Michelle also enjoys cycling. Both are also avid hikers and you can commonly find them enjoying the Shawnee every weekend.
